Another Breastfeeding Bash

Just read this Salt Lake Trib article yesterday. Ironic that I heard about a relatively local event through a facebook link. Sweet mom was nursing her baby at a Whole Foods store and was asked to cover up or move somewhere more private. *sigh* Breastfeeding is not sex, people. The article was well-written (considering what passes for article-writing sometimes); the nurse-in, the ever popular response, is already scheduled.

But it got me thinking. Laws only force people to follow a rule; they don't mend misunderstandings or prevent rudeness. Wherever a nursing mom has a right to be, she has the right to nurse her baby. How can we cross the divide between the realities of babies needing to eat on a regular and frequent basis, and people who are shocked by an ordinary act of mothering?
